Pousadas de Sauípe: in the beach atmosphere

If your preferred type of lodging is a pleasant and cozy pousada (inn) on the beach, but you insist of having a vast leisure activity infrastructure near you, this is your place. The six Pousadas de Sauípe combine the typical comfort of an inn with the vast infrastructure of the Costa do Sauípe complex.

Each inn was designed with a theme that deals with history of Bahia, personalities from the state, and the Bahian culture.

Pousada Agreste

Inspired in the festivals of northeastern Brazil and in the history of the Brazilian cangaço (social outlaws), the inn has a colonial architecture in which the simplicity and happiness of northeastern Brazil are illustrated with typical foods and lots of forró (a type of music).

Pousada da Aldeia

Built in the middle of a coconut grove, 55 yards from the beach, the inn reproduces a fishing village. A cozy place, full of poetry and tranquility.

Pousada Carnaval

An inn with vibrant colors and references to the traditional Bahian blocos do carnaval (Carnival groups) Olodum, Ilê Ayê, and Araketu. It will take the guests to the joyful and relaxed atmosphere of Carnival.

Pousada Gabriela

With an architecture inspired in the mansions of Ilhéus, this inn is the perfect translation of the cocoa farms found in the novels by Jorge Amado.

Pousada Pelourinho

Balconies, internal patios, and skylights. Its architecture translates the beauty and historical legacy of Pelourinho, a world heritage site.

Pousada da Torre

With a vibrant architecture, it tells the history of the region, from the arrival of Garcia d’Ávila, in 1549, through the introduction of cattle raising in the Northeast. The setting honors the nobles who inhabited the castle.
